La Colporteuse

To facilitate your travels in the Puy du Fou, a small train called "Colporteuse" is at your disposal. People with disabilities have priority to use this service. This little train makes stops approximately every 20 to 30 minutes in the various Puy du Fou stations. Please note that electric wheelchairs and pushchairs cannot use this service.

Cinéscénie Shuttle

On Cinéscénie evenings, visitors with reduced mobility can take advantage of a free shuttle bus service from the ticket gate to the seating area. There’s no need to worry about having a great evening!

Pass Accessibilité

The Pass Accessibilité is designed to make it easier for our team to recognise you and to enable you to use the disabled entrances to our main shows. This Accessibility Pass must be collected at the Puy du Fou entrances (Information desk) or the Cité Nocturne entrance (ask at reception in the Cité Nocturne hotels) only on presentation of appropriate documentation. This pass is personal, named and dated, but does not guarantee access to specific shows.

A car park near the Puy du Fou entrances is accessible to people with reduced mobility, only on presentation of a disability card. To benefit from it, you just have to announce yourself when you arrive in our car park.

We offer manual wheelchair rental for €9 per day and electric wheelchairs for €25 per day. If you hold a disability card, please do not hesitate to contact us. Both services are available with or without prior booking (at the Services desk located near the Puy du Fou entrances, past the ticket inspection gates), subject to availability. Reservation recommended.

Some paths in the Puy du Fou have steep slopes and are therefore unsuitable for wheelchairs and visitors with mobility difficulties. Puy du Fou is equipped with loop systems to assist hearing impaired visitors. They are located at the Puy du Fou entrances (at the Information, Tickets and Services desks) and in the reception areas of our hotels. We advise deaf and hearing impaired visitors to pick up an illustrated description of our shows.  It is available at the Information desk at the entrance to the Puy du Fou. It's also available from the receptionists at our shows Les Amoureux de Verdun and Le Mystère de La Pérouse.

Access to the historical villages

Le Bourg 1900: all the shops in the Bourg 1900 have disabled access. Le Village XVIIIème: we recommend using the entrance next to Le Relais de Poste. La Cité Médiévale: access is difficult due to steep slopes. We recommend either taking the white route shown on the map (page 9 in the Accessibility Guide) or one of the little trains. Recommended stop: Gare des Vikings. Le Fort de l'an Mil: we recommend using the entrances opposite the Le Chaudron "O" restaurant, to avoid the slope.

All Puy du Fou hotels have rooms adapted for people with reduced mobility. Boarding Kennels

Pets are not allowed at the Puy du Fou. A Canine Pension has been created to welcome them. Only dogs that are tattooed or chipped and have all the compulsory vaccinations are accepted. It is compulsory to make a reservation in advance with our Reservations Team on +33 (0) 820 09 10 10 (0.12€/min from a fixed line), subject to availability.

Of course, our Canine Pension is committed to respecting animal welfare in all its forms, just like the care given to the 1,500 animals at the Puy du Fou.

Any complaint must be addressed to the customer service department at Puy du Fou, according to the procedure detailed in the conditions of sale. A visit to the Puy du Fou will enable pupils to draw on the knowledge and skills they have learnt in school.  The shows, historical villages, 55 hectares of nature, and more than 1500 animals of the Puy du Fou will transport pupils and teachers on a great educational journey. Pupils on school trips must be supervised by responsible adults at all times.

Prohibited items

It is strictly forbidden to bring any type of weapon, dangerous or illegal objects (such as anything with a blade, cutters, bombs, explosives, scissors, aerosols and gas canisters), drugs or alcoholic drinks to Puy du Fou.
We also advise you to limit the number of personal items, bags and luggage you bring in order to speed up entry to the Puy du Fou. It is possible to leave the park and return throughout the day.

First aiders, doctors and nurses are available throughout Puy du Fou. If you need help, do not hesitate to contact our resident team. You can also visit our infirmary which is located between the "L’Orangerie" restaurant and the "Mousquetaire de Richelieu" show, or the aid station situated behind the Cinéscénie grandstand, on performance evenings. For artistic reasons, it is strictly forbidden to visit Puy du Fou in costume. Gate staff will be obliged to refuse entry or to ask you to change before you enter the park.

For light bites and more substantial snacks, our fast food restaurants offer various options (salads, sandwiches...) throughout the day. The "Restaurant Voucher" is a form of payment accepted at all our restaurants. It comes in three different denominations: €12, €15 or €20. Booking is required and the voucher must be paid for in advance. The "Restaurant Voucher" is not dated (valid throughout the 2022 season) and can be used in several instalments (unit values: €5, €4 or €3). No change will be given. Gift Certificates

Certificates issued by ANCV and some issued by Kadéos, Cadhoc or Tir Groupé are accepted as payment for tickets, and in the restaurants and hotels at Puy du Fou. To pay by these methods you must book by phone on 0820 09 10 10 (€0.12 per minute from a landline) at least 15 days before you intend to visit. These certificates must show the name and address of the holder and be used within the expiry date.

Puy du Fou works with the relevant authorities to ensure appropriate measures are taken for the security of our visitors. Since 2015, security arrangements at Puy du Fou have been substantially strengthened. We also work closely with the Prefecture, the Ministry of the Interior and the Gendarmerie Nationale to ensure that we always have support from the security forces. Visitors to Puy du Fou can count on the vigilance of our team, and our increased security arrangements, to ensure that they will have a peaceful visit.

Our team tailors each day to the number of visitors that are expected. To plan your visit, download the programme from the home page of our website from 5.30pm the evening before. Cinéscénie starts at 10.30pm in May/June/July and at 10pm in August/September. You are requested to arrive 1 hour before the start of the show. The production lasts 1 hour 40 minutes. For your comfort, we recommend warm clothing.

The gates of the Puy du Fou open at 9.30am. The Puy du Fou is open from 9.30am 7pm during the yellow season, and from 9.30am – 10.30pm during the green season (inclusive of the evening show “Les Noces de Feu”). During blue season (with the "La Cinéscénie" night-time show), it is open from 9.30am 9pm.

Hotels - Room layout

Puy du Fou hotel rooms can accommodate up to 5 people (at least one of which must be an adult), except at the “Villa Gallo-Romaine” and the "Grand Siècle" which can accommodate up to 4 people – at least one of which must be an adult. Beds are as follows: 1 double bed (160cm x 200cm), 2 bunk beds (90x190). A cot can also be added on request. WiFi is available in the reception areas, restaurants and rooms of our themed hotels.

For the deaf or hard of hearing, vibrating ear pieces can be provided (upon request and subject to availability).
For the blind or visually impaired, remote controls with oversized keys can be provided (upon request and subject to availability).

If it is very hot at Puy du Fou

When the temperature rises, you will need to take the usual precautions. But if you need to shelter from the heat, our ancient forest is a wonderful place to go. You may also appreciate the cool mists produced by the giant sprinklers that are found in various places in the Puy du Fou, the shaded areas and our air-conditioned auditoriums.

If it rains at Puy du Fou

All shows at Puy du Fou are designed to be performed whatever the weather. Therefore, all shows will take place if it rains. There are also many indoor shows, such as "Mousquetaire de Richelieu", "Le Mystère de La Pérouse", "Le Premier Royaume", "La Renaissance du Château", “Les Amoureux de Verdun" and "Le Dernier Panache", where you can shelter from either bad weather or heat.

There is a parking area reserved for camper vans, caravans and motor-homes. This area is free during the day, with charges for overnight parking from 1am - 7am (€13.50 per night - payment by credit card only). Getting to Puy du Fou (by car)

Puy du Fou is accessible via the A87 autoroute (junction 28). We are located 3¼ hours from Paris, 3 hours from Bordeaux, 2 hours from Poitiers, 1½ hours from La Baule, 1½ hours from La Rochelle, 1 hour from Les Sables d’Olonnes, 1 hour from Nantes and 1 hour from Angers. Getting to Puy du Fou (by train)

The closest station to Puy du Fou is Angers TGV. If you choose to come by train, this station can be reached from any of France’s major TGV routes, including from Paris, Marseille, Strasbourg and Lille. There is a shuttle bus from Angers TGV station to Puy du Fou. Tickets cost €16,90 per person (single) and €33,90 per person (return) and must be booked in advance. Getting to Puy du Fou (by plane)

Puy du Fou is located an hour from Nantes Atlantique airport. Flights land here from Ajaccio, Bastia, Bordeaux, Calvi, Figari, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Montpelier, Muhlouse, Nice, Paris, Strasbourg and Toulouse. For more information, click here.

Visitor Parking

Parking is free in all Puy du Fou car parks. The various parking areas are accessible one hour before Puy du Fou opens and until one hour after closing. Visitors who have booked a stay in Puy du Fou hotels must park directly in the Cité Nocturne car parks. To do this, on their arrival at Puy du Fou, they must follow the direction "La Cité Nocturne - Les Hôtels du Puy du Fou".
